Its been a while since I've posted something neon right? Lol like 5 minutes maybe? Lol ok it hasn't been that long yeah, but when the neons are so juicy how can I possibly resist? Today I'm wearing some of my favorite neon polishes in my collection...the Orly Colorblast polishes I discovered a year ago. These polishes are VERY VERY pigmented and as such very intense. For those of you that are looking for alternatives to the Pipe Dream Polish Vegas Collection these may be a great alternative. That's also one reason I decided to create this nail art along with the fact that hello I love neons ;)
Basecoat/Topcoat: Duri Rejuvacote / Essie Matte About You
Base color Essie Cocktails & Coconuts
Accent and Gradient: Orly Colorblast Bright Blue Neon, True Neon Pink, each Pastel Neon, Tennis Ball Neon, and Floss Gloss Con Limon
Stamping polish: Mundo de Unas Black (2)
Stamping plate: QGirl 12
As you can see I really wasn't joking about the color saturation of these polishes. They are BRIGHT. The formula is also great self-leveling and opaque in about 2-3 coats depending on the color. I found these at Bed Bath and Beyond and I've never seen them anywhere else though I read on another blog someone had found them at Kohls. Oddly I also couldn't find any information about them on the Orly website either.
A little about the QGirl plates. I got this plate right from Joanne's Fashion Shop on AliExpress. She is the original designer and manufacturer behind the QGirl, Hehe, and Y plates. Her etching is superb to the point I would never trust the dupe makers that also offer her designs at a lower price. You can also find QGirl and Hehe plates at Born Pretty Store, but I don't believe they offer the full selection from Joanne's designs. If your interested in purchasing anything you'll have to wait for the Chinese New Year to conclude since many of the shops are closed right now until March 20th.
And gratuitous polish holding shot. Lol I always wonder how other bloggers do it. It was unbelievably hard for me to grasp all these polishes and also snap a picture and look at how akward my hand pose is. Lordy! In any case let me know what you think in the comments below or if you can recommend other great neon polishes that might be an alternative to these! thanks for reading and I'll see you next post....
