Elevation Polish Street Graffiti Collection Swatches and Nail Art (June 2015)

Happy Monday,

Oh my it's been way too long since I posted some nail art.  I've missed it terribly.  I love talking about stamping plates and products and reviewing them, but nothing revs my engine quite better than actually getting down to the deed of stamping.  I'm behind.  I've realized I'm just going to be behind for a while, though I'm going to make every effort to catch up quickly, however I really can't over do things.  I'm going to have to ask your forgiveness for that and extend my gratitude to my partners who have been so amazing to me! I'm blessed truly and I know it and don't take it for granted.  Now today I have a collection I have been sitting on for far far too long - Elevation Polish Street Graffiti Collection.  Yup - I'm still loving and living for my EPs and I still have 2 more collections to show you, but for today let's take a look at the mean streets of the world ;)

LA

A sheer jellyish white.  I'm gonna call this LA version one because there is another version in a later collection.  This version however I've worn a whopping 3 times.  If you know me you know that's a lot for one polish.  I've even created prior nail art for it so suffice to say I've played with this polish a lot. I would like to create a layered sandwich using this one and several geometric images even now. Lol I guess what I'm rambling on about it boy do I love this polish!  It took 3 coats to reach opacity. Normally that would drive me crazy since I tend to tap out at 2, but the jelly sheer factor of this one kept me layering without a hitch.  It dries glossy finish though it's pictured with topcoat.

I really didn't want to overwhelm the white here. It would have been easy to do it since white is my go to base color for most of my nail art so this time I just let my art "brush" the surface.  Feathers flying through.  I did briefly also entertain the idea of not filling in the feathers too...

Isn't this pretty too? It's pre-coloring....I love the delicacy of this, but you guys know I'm a color girl ;)

East London

Another one of the most ridiculously gorgeous holo glitter flakey toppers Lulu has ever ever made!  I don't know how she does this.  I'm sure she is bottling magic or crack.  I don't know if you knew this but magic and crack are essentially the same - at least according to some ;) It's sheer and reminds me of Silversword though Silversword had none of this multicolored flakey goodness.  I need several back ups of this polish.  I also need a bathtub and a sheer lotion version of this polish.

Whoooo god this polish is stunning beyond all belief! Look at all that fire!

This is my first negative space mani.  This is awesome! Basically this came out so sparkly and jazzy I can see this being perfect for New Years or the Christmas holidays!

NYC

I think of NYC as a waxy matte black with very sparse but very pretty silver flecks of glitter.  It reminds oh so very very slightly of Orly Goth only Goth has waaayyy too much silver glitter in the base and its very glossy.  I purposely kept this matte and delicious.  This was self leveled beautifully and would have been a one coater if you are very careful, but I swatched it here in two without top coat.

Mmmm look at how pretty this is! Pretty much perfect for the upcoming halloween season.  I almost went Halloween with the nail art but backed out at the last minute.

This came out so cool! God I love a good graphic black and white.  Officially in love with the Illusion Collection again ;)

Paris

Hello Paris! Alright I can't even lie.  Well I could but you'd find out anyway since I'm such a holo whore, but really! Ugh Lulu slays with a linear holo of the God's again.  How do I describe this color? Burgundy holo or a deep dried venous blood sample that is extra de-oxygenated.  Yes I'm sick but that is what I thought, and this was followed by the thought I wonder if I can paint my whole body in this color.  Its a perfect one coater.  I one-coated it here without topcoat for the swatches.

Melborne

Melborne is a cerulean blue perfect ocean blue filled with subtle holo and less subtle green flakie gorgeousness.  The flakies also shift gold.  Btw this is another one coater.  This one was a breakout favorite for me.  I will say though I wish I had been able to get a little more of the flakie onto the nail. I should have shook the bottle before I painted my nails which is what I'd advise for the most flakie yummy outcome ;)

Splat splat.  I don't even know how I wound up here with this art.  i kept thinking I wanted bold color with bold color.  And somehow this is what I got.  It's a really happy mani!

So any favorites? Its been a while since I've done one of these swatch fests.  I really missed it - the art and the fun playing with such gorgeous polishes.  Now if you don't already have these beauties you can run right over tomorrow morning at 9AM CST and pick them up on the Elevation Polish website during her 22nd of the month restock.  While you're over there maybe you want to scoop up a few of her glorious SBPs or a little Yeti stuffie.  Either way you'll regret it if you haven't gotten at least 2 polishes from this collection!  In any case that's for reading and I'll see you next post!

These polishes were sent to me for the purpose of review.  Read more in my Disclosures Policy.
