I know I am so far behind in plate press releases that its gonna be a task to catch up.  I'm gonna post up a few today so you see what's out there or rather what's been out there ;)  This post is dedicated to the last released from Pueen Cosmetics Lover II Collection.  The reviews for these plates seemed to be popping up everywhere.  I will say in general it's been my experience with Pueen that their plates are very high quality with regard to etching and seem to offer a variety of images.  The last few releases haven't really hit it out of the ballpark for me with regard to innovation, but I can appreciate the solid framework with which these collections are designed.  So let's take a look!

How's everyone's weekend?  Its already ready Sunday but I'm feeling less resentful about this since its a right before the Thanksgiving holiday - woot!  Today I'm going to be showing you some plates that have released recently as I try to catch up with the never ending set of releases that always happen around this time of year!  This post is for the new Pueen Cosmetics Stamping Lover Set and plates.  This is Pueen's first foray into the rectangular plate game so let's take a look.

Hot Off The Stamping Press: Pueen Lace Blossoms Celebration Collection (UPDATED)!

Quickie post today because I spied the newest plate from the Pueen Celebration Collection and wanted to share with everyone! You know I am a big fan of Pueen plates since they tend to be inspired and easy to use.  I have the Fireworks Festival plate from this collection and I love it though I got it much later after the initial release.    It's a monster plate, think big like DRK XL big,  of flowers patterns etc.  With this upcoming release I'm hoping that Pueen stretched a little bit more in the design department since these types of plates are fairly popular these days and from what I saw in the last release from DRK getting better and better.  So far I just have mockups to share but let's take a look.

I'm back with another collection of swatches and nail art!  I apologize for the lack of art these last few days.  My computer had a small freakout and I haven't been able to get my photo editing software to work properly :/  Gah!  In any case I have been very busy this month despite having the month off from my regular swatching gig ;)   I'm always so excited to when a company approaches me and asks if I would mind swatching and created nail art for their products whether its plates or polishes alike. It makes me nervous and happy at the same time so its a conflicted feeling lol.  Today I'm going to be showing you another new collection from 10.1 Perfect Polish.  If you don't remember I created swatches and nail art for this Colorado based indie for the St. Patricks Day Collection.  Today I'm going to be showing you their Sunshine & Rainbows and Collection which is chocked full of metallic easter inspired pastels!

Time for another monthly Elevation Polish post!  Yay - elevate the world!!! Lol let me stop, but seriously this months' collection, The Minneapolish Collection made me so happy and thrilled even in the heart of winter.  Packed full of what I consider serious color burst and saturation.  As you can guess this collection was inspired by the city of Minneapolis and some of Lulu's favorite plates scattered throughout the town.  It's a reflection of her love for the city and from what I can see while she may travel the world clearly there is no place like home!

Hot Off The Stamping Press: Pueen Celebration Collection Fireworks Festival Nail Art Stamping Plate (Released)

Happy Saturday! I'm just gonna dive right in.  You know I blogged about this plate earlier when we had very few images of this plate - the new Pueen Celebration Collection Fireworks Festival Plate. This was also the plate I was trying to win during the #celebratewithpueen contest on Instagram.  I lost lol, but at least we can still purchase the plate if we choose.  Anyhoo now that the plate has released lets take a better look at the pictures of the plate now that we have some.

Christmas 2014: Gliterring Holiday Abstracts

I should be giving you all a lot more holiday nail art now that December has started and I promise I will starting today.  Lol I have been a touch distracted by all the neons and watermarbles.  Hehe! I will bring you a few more posts like that as well, but let's kick off the holiday season with my first mani directed at Christmas though it is totally non traditional.  Go figure ;)  I love glitter and I love holographics.  This that sparkle and glimmer are what the holiday is all about at least for me so today I created something just that.  So sparkly you can't look away...

Pueen has gone mad, but I'm loving every minute of it!  Apparently this is a collection that will have plates added to it a few at a time for each special occasion...if you read the comments and responses to questions Pueen has been posting on Facebook.  Intrigued? I had this news a few days ago but as I said with my computer issues everything just got that much harder so please bear with me until I can get things fixed and moving along again.  For now let's talk about this new Buffet collection that came out of nowhere from Pueen Cosmetics!  We all know they love these Buffet plates so much so the last 2 collections have been Buffet/infinity/landscape style.  Now they are back for more and this time aimed at the leisure loving crowd, and no I don't know what that even means, but let's take a look anyway....

Hot Off The Stamping Press: Pueen Encore Collection Updates!!!

As you know I've been keeping a "close eye" aka stalking Pueen Cosmetics for the release of their Encore Collection.  I had a prior post here with all the initial relevant details and images of the first 2 plates, but I thought I'd do an update today to show you the next 2 plates and their corresponding sides as well as give you the full low down on what's going on with this collection.  So let's get started...



As you know or may not know the Pueen Encore Collection is slotted to be a follow up to the wildly popular Stamping Buffet infinity style/landscape set of plates that released in January of this year.

This set is comprised of a total of 4 plates and the kicker is that the plates are double sided i.e. have images etched on both sides of the plates.



We, as in the royal we darlings, had been waiting with baited breath for Pueen to reveal more to us in terms of the collection regarding pricing, release date, etc and now I have all of that information for you today.

Pueen has announced these plates will be available for pre-order on June 15th directly from Pueen Cosmetics on their Store Envy site.  They will then be releasing officially on June 18th.  My guess is for those who wish to purchase via Amazon purchasing will also be delayed for several days after the 18th as it was with the Stamping Buffet collection release in January.  Pueen has also informed us that the plates will be 10 x 10 cm and will be covered with a plastic frame to prevent the edges of the plate from cutting the user while stamping.  Interesting...The set will also come in the standard Pueen leather case scaled to the size of the plates and will retail for $24.99 USD.  

So there we have it.  All the details we have been waiting for and a few more unexpected surprises.  I have to admit I'm a bit surprised at the price point for these.  Only because even with infinity/buffet/landscape style plates they are still only offering 8 plates total (if you count side A and B as one whole plate, which I do).  Normally they release 22 or 24 plates at this price point.  My guess is that because the plates are larger than their standard size that this is where the pricing comes in. Will you be purchasing these plates?  What do you think of the pricing? Obviously I'm getting them, lol as if that was even a question, but now I want to see if the sizing stands up to that price point.   Alright get your pistols loaded and ready to fire ;)  Thanks for reading and see you next post...

Hot Off The Stamping Press: Pueen Cosmetics Encore Collection Teaser 2 (UPDATED)!

Happy Saturday! A ll I can here in my head is the song from Britney Spears going "gimme more gimme more gimme more..."  You ladies know I really enjoy stalking.  Lol it's so much fun and the best part is then I can come and share it here and not feel like a crazy lady IRL because my readers share my passions and obsessions equally! Ok maybe not equally since I'm a little crazy but whatever close enough right?  So for those that haven't caught up Pueen Cosmetics is at it again and are in the midst of creating a new collection of plates.  You can read my initial announcement here.  My suspicion is that the set is already done and they are simply waiting for them to come over from their manufacturer.   Today they gave us another sneak peek behind one of the plates from this collection.

 If you are like me and enjoy some magic eye maneuvers you can see the actual mockup of the plate underneath the nail designs.  Clever marketing right?  So here's two pieces of news that Pueen dropped on us with this teaser.  First, these plates will be releasing in June.  Awesome! Second, these plates will be double sided.  Interesting...I have often wondered myself why plates haven't been doublesided.  Since when you look at how Pueen packages their sets they are back to back in the faux leather holder.  So I feel like this has been a long time coming.  I'm interested to see how and if this effects stamping and a little excited because my stamping plate collection is starting to take up a lot of real estate in my home!  So what do you ladies think? I really continue to be super duper impressed with the Pueen creative minds.

Hot Off the Stamping Press: Pueen Cosmetics Encore Collection Teaser

I totally forgot to post this little teaser that I saw on Pueen Cosmetics Facebook page the other day!  For those who stalk this is probably going to be a source of agony and desire for many out there.  As apparently Pueen is launching another set of plates.  Ooooohhh yeah baby!  If my suspicions are correct this is going to be a followup infinity style set of plates to the Stamping Buffet Collection.  After all with a name like Encore Collection one has to at least expect this much...

Now who's excited to stalk along with me? Lol.  You can follow Pueen Cosmetics Facebook here.  I can't wait to see how these new plates look since the mockups are so cute!  Lol I bet you ladies think my lord the plates just keep on coming.  For me the best part is just watching to see what creators will come up with next.  I definitely need to break out a few more of the my Pueen plates and do some nail art in celebration.  Happy hunting and see you next post

Pueen 2014 Stamping Buffet Geometric Gradient Nail Art + Bubblelina Signature

Happy Sunday! Guess what?  I freaking finally got my new Pueen 2014 Stamping Buffet plates!  Yay it took so long even though I ordered them what feels like dog years ago from Amazon.  In any case they are here and I am happy and so I am spreading that happiness from me to you in the form of some gradient nail art. Btw you may have noticed but my pictures are changing around here as I get the hang of my new camera and editing software.  I'm hoping for some big improvements on all of my sites in terms of photo quality, but please pardon my inexperience while I'm getting things perfected.

I chose to break out a new indie brand that caught my eye on Instagram Bubblelina Nail Polish.  This lady knows her way around a thermal and so I ordered 3 polishes including the one I'm wearing today called Signature.  Signature is pink to purple thermal with extremely hard to see blue microglitter.  It's pink when warm and purple very reminiscent of Color Club's Puccilicious when warm.  What blew me away with this polish is that formula is amazing!  Smooth like butter, self leveling, and essentially a ONE COATER.  You know how excited I get about those, but I put down 2 to make sure I had a extra layer for stamping mishaps.

Now for the Pueen Cosmetics plate.  I can tell already this collection is going to be so tricky for stamping newbies.  Why? Because it was tricky for me and I already have a tons of tricks up my sleeve to deal with difficult to stamp plates.  Not that it's difficult, but I noticed if I was aiming for a distinct pattern on the plate I would often pick up the borders of other designs that were unwanted.  Another issue some of the designs within the plate weren't long enough for my nails.  That said the quality of this plate is nothing short of the excellence I have come to expect from Pueen.  I won't bother with a review since I've seen about 10 out there already, but I think a Youtube troubleshooting video maybe be necessary.

 So thoughts? I love the shift of Signature layered with the gradient effect.  I had a lot of fun putting this mani together! Stay tuned for my review of the Loja BBF plates on the horizon they arrived on my doorstep yesterday and I was like YAY! Quick post just to let you know the plates are now live on Amazon.  I also found out for my Canadian readers that Nail Polish Canada will be stocking these as well so sign up for updates.  If you want to get the plates on Amazon act quickly because they have already sold out once today and then they put up 8 more!  It's my understanding they have sold out on the Big Cartel Pueen site so this is likely the only source until they restock.

Quicky little post to let you know those Pueen 2014 plates that I have raved and raved incessantly about here and here are now live on the Pueen BigCartel site!

 They are retailing for $20.99 USD + shipping ($4.99) for per set.  As an FYI they still aren't up on Amazon yet and since I have Prime I will be waiting for them to go live there first before purchasing, but I know several of you were waiting with bated breath (lol me included).  I honestly don't know how long I will be able to hold out if I can't get them today on Amazon.  However I am also purchasing an additional set for an friend so I think it will be better to wait and use prime as the mode of shipping.  So sad, but sometimes I'm practical...um yeah practical...sigh. In any event arm your mouses, fill your carts, and happy stamping ladies :)

Updates: Pueen 2014 Stamping Buffet Nail Art Stamping Plates!

I have more updates for you regarding the new Pueen 2014 Stamping Buffet Collection!  If you don't know what I'm talking about go back and read my post showing the full collection and close ups of 3 individual plates here.  I forgot to mention this before in the original post, but if you wanted to know why Pueen named this collection Stamping Buffet it's because according to them you can stamp wherever you like on the plates without limitations to your imagination.  In other words this collection is like an All You Can Stamp buffet ;)  Cute eh?  Now, squee, I have another plate to show you up close! Presenting Pueen 51....



Every time I see another one of these plates close up I just want to scream!  Look at how ridiculously pretty this plate is.  I think this is going to be one of the more amazing collections of stamping plates that rolls of out in 2014 and it's still only January!  And more great news...the plates should be making their way to the US by next week!  Ah darn it! I wish Pueen would just let us pre-order them now so the minute they arrive they can start shipping them out post haste ya know?  Also some genius over a Pueen realized those horrible metal and plastic scrapers are so not the way to go when you want to preserve the quality of your plates and released these little pretties....

Yup plastic scraping cards! Kudos Pueen!  I'll be picking up some of these for sure when I order my plates however I will say they aren't the first company that mass releases sets of plates to do this.  I think Cheeky Beauty might have been first.  I use that card all the time along with one I got from Apipila Cosmetics to scrape my plates but these are so pretty I can't wait to try them!  So there you have it our fantasies will be shortly flocking to us by plane or boat or whatever.  I just absolutely cannot freaking wait (squee squee squee)!

Hot Off The Stamping Press: Pueen Cosmetics 2014 Stamping Buffet Nail Art Plates!

I could not hold my desire to share these plates with you for one more freaking second!  Mainly because I just saw the whole set preview and thought I cannot tell anyone IRL about how excited I am about these plates and have them get it as much as I my readers.  Pueen is going to be releasing this new infinity-eque plate series soon.  I want you to realize MoYou London has forever changed the game when it comes to stamping nail art.  As far as I know they are the first company to try the concept of full nail plate images, weaving an entire theme around one singular plate to create a cohesive collection.  Other companies have quickly hopped on the bandwagon including Dashica, MyOnline Shop and now Pueen.

So why am I so excited?  First, the quality of Pueen plates are second to none! I am thrilled with the 2 collections I have thus far.  Second OMG OMG its a full freaking collection of plates and what's more they will likely be much more reasonably priced than the individual plates we have seen to date.  Hey y'all know I own a huge amount of these plates but nothing and I mean nothing beats a bargain!  I want to throw myself around the room screaming in glee!  But ok ok let me just show you the plates first.

I also have a close up from the Pueen Cosmetics Facebook of two of the plates thus far! 

The above one is a little less my cup of tea but I like that this could be come a very graphic style mani with the right type of stamping!

Look at plate 70 it's just freaking incredible, and the one below is also utterly perfect for Valentines Day!

 I've realized it I'm an addict.  I can't stop stalking these stamping companies, getting excited all by myself, and then unleashing it out into the nail art universe.  Lawd save me from myself!  So I have no idea when these plates are releasing but it must be soon because the entire collection picture is from Amazon, but no plates are available to purchase.  These will likely retail somewhere between $16-25 USD based on historical prices.  I of course will put up a post the minute they release or update this one, but feel free to stalk along with me on Facebook.  Happy hunting stamperistas ;)  Thanks for reading and see you next post!

Teal The Last Berry

Happy Monday! Yup it's Monday and the dark horrible tunnel that comprised a shocking amount of my weekend has come to an end.  Lol yes that means what you think a working weekend.  I say this as though it's an uncommon thing for me when really a weekend off in my life is an exception and not the standard.  Anyhoo  I decided to break out my Pueen plates for today's mani and I have to say I was pleased with the results.  It's delicously fall colored and simple so let's get onto the art!

Basecoat/Topcoat: CND Stickey/Poshe Fast Drying Topcoat

Base Colors: American Apparel Berry & Essie Naughty Nautical

Stamping Polish: OPI House of Blues

Stamping Plate: Pueen Sumptuous Gallery 11

 This is the perfect color combo for the fall - a touch of vampy raspberry with a swirl of blues.  It's my belief that there isn't a shade of blue invented that won't work during any season of the year.  I love how OPI's House of Blue created a sort of pop of color effect Naughty Nautical.  I don't think I was able to capture that elusive blue shimmer that lives in Naughty Nautical however.  About American Apparel Berry - it was like butter.  This is two self leveling coats that could have potentially been one thick careful coat. 

Do you ladies have any perfect color combos for the fall?  I'd like to try a few more out.  I threw in the little round black studs as well for a bit of visual interest to the look.  The studs are from Pueen as well I got them during some Amazon promo and they came in a wheel with a whole bunch of other various colored round studs.  They are pretty cute and I'll have to try incorporating them more often.  Thoughts?
