Hot Off The Stamping Press: New DRK XL Nail Art Stamping Plates!

The press is getting hotter and hotter as the year gets its groove!  Now all of a sudden we are getting slammed with plate releases or eminent releases.  It's a blessing and a curse, and it means we as shoppers need to become a great deal more selective in our purchases than we have been historically. Today's newly released plates are coming from one of my favorite companies DRK Nails!  They have released two of new XL plates for our stamping pleasure and I for one am excited!  So lets take a look....

Neon Bejeweled Abstract Leadlight Lacquer Nail Art

Happy Sunday! As you all know I love to follow up stamping plate reviews with....nail art.  Lol kinda makes perfect sense right.  Yesterday I reviewed the new Leadlight Lacquer plates from Messy Mansion (read about it here) and despite also pulling out a mega tutorial for double processed stamping I still couldn't leave these plates alone and so here we are.  Know what else I can't leave alone? My neon mate polishes from Virtuous Polish.  They are stunning and aren't getting nearly enough nail time in my life.  So while it may be the heart of winter over here prepare for some tropical storms....

Lesson Lockdown: How To Create Double Processed/Double Processing Nail Art!

Today I'm going to show you a new technique I discovered through a nail friend and a true creative powerhouse Joey Helland.  Regardless of what she says this lady is truly amazing!  Anyone who can come up with these techniques, raise two children, act as a wife, and hold down a job gets all my respect and admiration in the world.  I'd be napping lol!  Anyhoo she created this technique and named it Double Processing which is an entirely accurate description.  Essentially is a stamp that you process twice! Eh? Yeah I know when she first tried to describe this technique to me even with pictures I was like um....Yup total confusion and dismay.  I kept looking at her pictures expecting an epiphany and when that didn't happen I just decided to try practicing and see if I could produce the results by trial.  Luckily I was able to and discovered that this technique is pretty awesome once you have the basics that is! So I decided to create a little video tutorial and a verbal breakdown a alongside the process so let's go!

Happy Saturday everyone! It's raining proverbial icy cats and dogs outside right now.  I hope everyone is staying inside where it's warm and dry where ever you may be.  Today I have yet another epic review for you all!  Lol I have a lot of them don't I?  However I figure the more of these posts I create the larger the database will exist upon which you can choose to make your purchases.  Today I'm going to reviewing the Leadlight Lacquer plates from Messy Mansion.  These released late in December of 2014 thought if you recall from my sneak peek 8 months ago I've been anticipating them for a very long time so now I'm super excited and ready to show that they were and are entirely worth the wait! Valentines Day 2015: Layered Holographic Hearts

How's everyone doing? I was supposed to be posting up another epic review but my scanner is having some difficulties so while it's in the shop getting it's act together I'm going to be showing you another nail art look I created for Valentine's Day.  Once again I'm obsessing with hearts though this time they are not of the watermarble variety but rather abstracted and layered over a gorgeous holographic gradient.

Hot Off The Stamping Press: MoYou London Holy Shapes Collection!

It's still Wednesday.  That means MoYou London is going strong on today.  If you haven't seen it already MoYou London launched their latest plate from the Zodiac Collection yesterday.  You can read about and view the Aquarius plate here.  Today though they launched a new collection called Holy Shapes and I for one am unbelievably excited.  I'm not even going to spaz and squee this time I'm just gonna jump right in!

Meet Olly.  I love her hair but she can take that sweater back to the 90's and the Fresh Prince of Bel Air where it belongs lol.  Sometimes I seriously question the fashion sensibilities of the MoYou London mascots.  But let pause for a minute while you sit right there and tell you how excited and thrilled I am to see a woman of color up in the mix! See what I did right there? Wink wink. Anyway how refreshing and novel this is I can't begin to explain, but it sure is awesome!
