Hot Off The Stamping Press: New Sugar Bubbles Nail Art Stamping Plates!
Hey stamperistas,
Nothing To DiscloseI'm just gonna release a buttload of new plates that hit while I've been out of commission today. I'll start with one of my favorite platemakers Sugar Bubbles. She released these plates about two months ago sort of peri-Halloween. I knew I was going to be too late to grab them up for Halloween since these plates are located in Brazil and shipping can take a while, BUT as with every Sugar Bubbles release these were worth the wait!

Hot Off The Stamping Press: New Sugar Bubbles Nail Art Stamping Plates!
Hey hey hay,
Happy hump day stamperistas! Today I'm going to show you the latest release from Sugar Bubbles. This is a company I adore. The downside is its hard as hell to get plates from this company stateside, more on that later, but for now let's see what this awesome Brazilian maker offered us at the end of the year!

Hot Off The Stamping Press: New Sugar Bubbles Nail Art Stamping Plates!
Hiya stamperistas,
Today I've got some new stamping plates to share! It's my first post of the new year and of course they are late. The reason I didn't post these before the New Year arrived is that I was hoping these would actually have made it to the stateside before the month ended. Thus far there's not a single plate in sight, but since times moving on let's share and share alike eh? I know for a fact more plates are sitting right over the horizon and by spring we'll see the usual plethora of releases that make us go...ah which do I buy! So today the latest and greatest from Sugar Bubbles.
Here we go...

Christmas Simples: Sugar Bubbles Holographic Snowflakes + Tutorial
Hey stamperistas,
This is the simplest of Simples. Lol actually all my Simples have been just that easy one or two step creations that are pretty, festive, and give you plenty of time to do more important things than painting your nails. Though let's be honest nothing is more important than painting your nails except stamping your nails wink wink nudge nudge. After all the gift looks better when its wrapped up by pretty looking hands lolol ;) You see how I use these excuses to get away with nonsense of the best kind yes?

Hot Off The Stamping Press: New Sugar Bubbles Stamping Plates + Halloween Special!
Hey stamperistas,
Happy Friday! Guess what your treat is gonna be from me? A delicious set of plates from Sugar Bubbles my favorite goth loli loving Brazilian sista! The last release from her wasn't really my cup of tea but it looks like she's heading back toward her roots and I am oh so thankful. Oh and PS I am definitely saving the best for last because if I ended with the last plate numerically I'm sure you'd go home with dry mouth lololol.
I adore dreamcatchers. When I was very little I had some kind of strange obsession with them. My mom used to buy them for me all the time and I collected them. People still send them to me today and I have a giant suede and leather feathered moon catcher earring that makes me moan every time I take it out to wear. Ahem so yeah I'm loving this plate the stars the moon the flowing wind the little ladies everywhere and this adorable girl on the cloud. Gimme gimme!

Hot Off The Stamping Press: New Sugar Bubbles Nail Art Stamping Plates!
Hey stamperistas,
Its been a quiet weekend and slow start week, but today I thought I'd take the opportunity to show you the latest plates that are releasing from Sugar Bubbles. I like this Brazilian based indie because her plates have always sat in a well defined niche that's very different from other platemakers. Its a little bit of goth meets a little bit of pop culture and her own unique perspective on basic patterns. I like that which is why I own every single plate this company makes and was really excited when I heard there were going to be new plates coming out! So let's take a look....

Polish TBH Disney Princess Collection Select Swatches & Nail Art
Hey lacqueristas,
Long time no chat! Sorry for the silence over the weekend! I had big plans and reviews to post however I had a little accident with my left ankle and spend the weekend writhing in agony and trying to get myself to go to the emergency room. Lol well one aircast, brace, and several icing sessions later here I stand/hobble. Ready to move on and so you some pretty! And the best part of today's swatch-a-thon is that it features PolishTBH, an indie that does crellies/jellies in a way that makes my heart pound, and it features Disney which just always always makes me smile. That's right! Today I've got a few selections from the 12 polish limited edition Disney Princess Collection from PolishTBH. Prepare to set your wallets to stun ;)

Elevation Polish Journey Through Music Collection Swatches and Nail Art
Happy New Year lacqueristas,
Welcome back! I have a lot of exciting posts coming up but today I'm the most excited to share the newest collection from Elevation Polish which will be releasing this January. I know some of you are wondering where the hell have your EP posts gone Tamira? In fact they haven't gone anywhere I have the October and November collections up on Instagram which I will be importing over here along with some nail art. It was just easier while I was traveling like mad. December's collection I don't have because of mail snafu. So hopefully that explains where things have been. Now today I am so freaking giddy because Lulu really decided to take 2015 by storm! There is so much holo, blue, blue (yes I repeated it twice), shimmer, and duochrome happening here I nearly died of nailgasm. But let me stop hyping and just show you the goods ;) Let me just warn in advance this post will be pic heavy! Also if you haven't already go over and read Lulu's blog post about the inspirational songs behind this collection - read it here.

Christmas 2014: O Holy Night Nail Art
Welcome back varnished vixens,
Today I want to share some special nail art with you. I have been dying to create some holy night nail art for years now. I have failed many times. Lol of course I never posted them because they were a hot mess, but today I think I succeeded in the craft. Even if you aren't religious or don't believe in the sabbath everyone can just admire pretty nails! And to be frank I had several stamping plates that were calling out for me to create this design. So of course I obliged ;)

Hot Off The Stamping Press: New Sugar Bubbles Nail Art Stamping Plates!
Hey lacquer ladies,
In case you couldn't tell my computer is still down meaning I'm still using my blogger app to post. It's driving me batty because I feel forced to create my posts in a manner completely different from how I like to! Alas no point in complaining as the show MUST go on and I am super far behind in updating everyone on all the newly releasing/released plates. So let's talk shop shall we? These plates by Sugar Bubbles I became aware of last week when they released. I feel almost bad showing them to you as most of them are impossible to get right now in time for holiday nail art and I myself am super frustrated by this as well since several of those plates are calling my name and I also am not able to attain them :(. You'll see why I'm so frustrated when you look at how cool these plates really are!

Color Club Abtract Skittlette Nail Art
Hey varnished vixens,
Today I thought I'd do a super simple mani as well as a little ode to a lady who always seems to have just the right knack of creating simple elegant nail art - Martha of Chit Chat Nails. She also happens to be the queen of skittlelets. So while thinking of how to execute a elegant and simple look I thought I'd take a nod at her style and go for the skittle mani.

Cupcakes & Skulls Essie Spring 2014 & Sugar Bubbles Nail Art
Hey lacquer ladies,
It's spring - woot finally! Despite the snow and cold weather I'm in the mood to celebrate. The felicitations include things like cupcakes, cold Blue Moons laced with orange wedges, and seafood. Does anyone else fantasize about food when the weather changes? Lol I feel like a freak, but I do it every season. At any rate today I have some springy nail art for everyone. I chose to break out my severely underused Sugar Bubbles plates and two new polishes from Essie's Spring 2014 Collection, and created something slightly different from things I've done in the past. I hope you like it!
Fashion Playground is a pale mint green crelly finish polish. I was surprised to find a crelly hiding out in this collection since Essie hasn't released any in quite a while. I was able to build it up to opacity in 2 careful coats. Romper Room is a pale pink creme polish. I own a lot of Essie pink polishes. The formula on this one is the similar to all the rest flawless and self leveling. Opaque in 2 thin coats. I also used this polish as the color for the frosting on the cupcake. I had mixed feelings about this pink in terms of it washing my skin tone out a bit, but what do you think? I also had cracks develop in the frosting. I'm not sure why that happened but I sort of like the effect...
My Sugar Bubbles plates are going to start getting more of a workout these days! The quality as I have found in the past is excellent. The images came out so crisp with effortless transfer. I will say one problem with being a plate addict is never having enough time to use all the plates I own. If I had to guesstimate these days I'd say my collection is around 800+ plates (just a bit insane) lol! In any case I hope you enjoyed this sweet spring mani! Thanks so much for reading and see you next post...

Hot Off The Stamping Press: New Sugar Bubbles Nail Art Stamping Plates!
Nail art enthusiats,
Have you noticed when it rains it pours? Lol seriously why do all these plate makers conspire against me to create such delicious drool worthy plates all at once? I cannot entirely recall whether I have blogged about this brand in the past before, but Sugar Bubbles is a brand worth blogging about for days! This indie brand is based in Brazil. I discovered it over a year ago, and I own all of the plates except for this most recent release and the last set of 4 holiday plates. I love Sugar Bubbles for very specific reasons. First, the branding of the company is adorable and spot on. Second, the plates are EXTREMELY unique. The plates feature themes like Beetlejuice and the Corpse Bride (yes I have a thing for Tim Burton), sugar skulls everywhere, cupcakes, Santas belt, Betty Boop, V from V, Super Mario bros imagery, Psy from Gangnam style (before it got played out), and so much more! Third, and finally the quality is exquisite! I have never once had an issue with these plates. But please don't take my word for it after all a picture is worth a thousand words.
Florals are always a strong way to start for me. I love them because it's easy to create beautiful nail art with a simple floral pattern.
Look at the detailing on the waves and feathers of this plate. This is what Sugar Bubbles is so good at execution of fine detailing that takes the etching up several levels!
Of course I'm loving all the Buddah's and Japanese imagery. The lady in repose <3
She cannot release a set without skulls. I swear it's almost a trademark. The nested full image ones are killing me!
Waah this plate is so so cute! The tiny planets and stars everywhere I need this one!!!
And as if I weren't already committed everything about plate 25 is an absolute WIN! These silhouettes are killer!
Monster High revisited She has another plate with similar themes. This one is even better! Love it ;)
This one is from her special edition series aimed at holidays. Looks like Mardi Gras, Easter, and whole bunch of other cuteness all rolled into one!
So wipe your brow off and take a moment. I know I keep showing you things that have you questioning your common sense in reading my blog. After all who the hell goes broke buying stamping plates lolololol. I bet that ramen is looking pretty good right now though when you contemplate all your nail art possibilities. Now what do you think? Aren't these all kinds of adorable. The plates retail for $8-9 USD. If you are international (i.e. not living in Brazil and about to enjoy all the awesomeness that is the Fifa Cup) you can order your plates here the instructions on how to go about that are here. Shipping prices will vary if I had to hazard a guess roughly $20 USD. That's why it makes perfect sense to buy in bulk and with some friends. So here we are one step closer to selling a kidney to meet our stamping needs ;) Thanks so much for reading and see you next post!

Ring-a-ding-ding 2013..On Sundays I Stamp!
Hello polished prisoners,
I hope everyone has been well and enjoying the holiday season. It's that time of year everyone is all a-flutter with excitement for the new year. Lol as I read that back I realized it sounded as though I wasn't and to be honest I'm not sure. Twenty twelve was supposed to be my year of triumph yet the heavens rained endless mental and physical challenges on me throughout the year culminating in a personal coup d'etat of epic proportions. Well I'm still alive and I'm grateful, but I am earnestly hoping for a more sedate year ahead. Ahem anyway let's onto the art...
Today's challenge was anything New Years and celebratory related. In my mind this immediately meant the use of holographics...lots and lots of them. Thus I instantly reached for my Zoya Ornates and my Color Club Holo Hues. Mmmmmdonuts ahem I meant holo's....
How do you ladies feel about the New Year - excited, fatigued, apathetic? I'd love to know really and yes I'm still stuck like glue on these Sugar Bubbles plates. They are so so good! They and many other plates (ahem Apipila) did not get nearly enough love this holiday season luckily Christmas time comes again and again oh and for me also in July. So here we are. I plan to do a few more holiday mani's before wrapping it up for the year moving onto some different nail art and I still have that Sugar Bubbles review on the back burner. I probably won't do any kind of summation of my must have's but who knows. Lol I sound so noncommittal please forgive me my world is a bit in flux right now so I'm trying to wrap things up before insanity ensues oh and make it to the post office (ugh holiday hours) >_< Thanks for reading as always and I'll see you next post! Toodles

Making CrowsMas I Mean Christmas...
Hello polished prisoners,
I have been gone far too long I know it! Life has been kicking my ass! Yup literally and figuratively I suddenly very poignantly understand the phrase "everything that matters just breaks in two". Well I can only push forward the same as ever polishing my nails and hoping for the best. Well striving for my best...so it's basically almost Christmas around these parts. I wanted to do a 7 days of CrowsToes Christmas but I'm thinking of doing something a more gurilla style to pay homage instead. So let's start the show...
CrowsToes Making Christmas is a sinful mix of green, red, and silver microglitters. It spreads like a mother..ahem it spreads awesomely ;) Let me tell you something. I am in a lusty like relationship with my CrowsToes polishes. People who complain about the formula or the density of these polishes have surely not let their beauty touch their souls, aside from which I have never had any such problems, but oh well maybe I'm biased by all the the brilliance. Lauri is a freaking genius! There hasn't been a single polish that I've seen by her that hasn't sparked a covetous grinch like desire within me. Also for the sake of full disclosure I purchased all of these polishes myself so I have zip to gain from singing their praises.
Sugar Bubbles. Tamira why have you not mentioned this brand before? Eh cause its a new and happening Brazilian indie plate maker who recently stole all of my freaking heart. Love at first stamp? You betcha. I will throw a quick review together tomorrow of what I got from her so far but for now you can check my nail art supplies tab for the downlow.
So here we are Making Christmas with Crowstoes. I love everything about this mani but all good things must end as I have so much more to show you. CrowsToes polishes can be purchased at either Llarowe or Overall Beauty, and Sugar Bubble can be found here. Thanks for reading and toodles!
