Hot Off The Stamping Press: MoYou London Tourist Collection Expansion!

Hey lacqueristas,

The stamping press is steaming!  Sizzling lol.  I actually forgot about the MoYou London weekly releases because I felt like maybe they didn't release a set last week.  Then I realized that the Bridal Collection expansion was last week, and that I'm losing track of all the plates coming out because they are coming otu everywhere!  Today I've got the latest plates from the Tourist Collection to share with you.  Honestly I feel like this collection is also one of my favorites along with the Explorer Collection mainly because it gives me the option of so many designs from all around the globe.  So let's see what MoYou has come up with for this week.

Kira's back and ready to travel light after all she's going back and forth across the globe this week.  Detinations are Instanbul, Paris, Delhi, and Sydney

Welcome to Instanbul! Can I just say I'm delighted lol. Super cute plate loving the fez hats and the palace abstracts and carpet in particular.  This plate reminds me so much of being a kid and watching Tiny Toons with my grandmother on Saturday morning.  Does anyone remember that animated cartoon sung by They Might Be Giants?  No well luckily I found it! Hehe you're welcome :)

This plate frustrated me.  I find myself asking why is Kira going back to Australia and why is she repeating images we've seen and own on several other plates in a larger size?  The are 5 new images on this plate.  The rest are repeats.  I really dislike it when MoYou does this.  Why not just create all new images for the plate instead of smaller ones?  I realize though that's a slightly unfair expectation given not everyone has talons as long as mine.  Still though...

Hello teacup elephant.  You are obviously going to be so happy in my new home!  This is Delhi and I am in love!  Reminds me slightly of the Loja BBF Indian Asian plate especially the doors on the mosque.  Regardless I must have this plate for the baby elephant alone htough the palace and the turbaed males are also well done!

The final plate for this release is Paris.  All the images excpet for 5 are once again recycled.  Ugh.  I really really hate when they do this!  The cameoed girls also look like Barbie.  I actually used the XL version of this plate last week for one of my challenge manis.  For me this one is a pass but I love the XL plate version.

So what do you think?  For me this is another disappointing release the Instanbul and Delhi were my two favorite plates with the rest falling flat for me because of the repeating patterns.  Plus I feel like I was gipped out of 2 new/really new plates with novel images.  Oh well.  For those that don't have these plates these could present an excellent argument for the case of buying them now.  As usual plates will be available Friday and retail for 4.99 Euros.  Don't forget you can also get 10% off using my code Tamira10.  Hope you enjoyed this update and see you next post...

Hot Off The Stamping Press: MoYou London Tourist Collection Expansion

Hey nail art fanatics,

Ugh today was such a crap day.  Usually I have these posts up a day or two before the release, but thanks to Fedex and a disgruntled worker at Bed, Bath, and Beyond things got a little derailed.  It's times like these that I ask myself is that Yankee candle really worth it Tamira?   In any evenit it's time for the weekly release of MoYou London plates.  Yay! This event, of course, always accompanies questioning whether this is really the week you want to splurge on that Starbucks latte when you could be stamping your nails with something new ;) Lol I know I'm not the only one that does that!  Now let's get onto this week's release...

I am a massive fan of the Tourist Collection.  Huge enough that I own all of the plates in this collection.  I love how detailed they are, and that they possess the same air as the Explorer Collection triggering lots of inspiration for potential mani's and nail art.  The destinations for these 4 plates are Brazil (World Cup anyone?),  Netherlands specifically Amsterdam, Germany yay Berlin, and Hawaii.

Another reason I love these plates is that they go to all the places I can't afford to go because I'm too busy buying stamping plates and creating nail art. Lolol.  Look at how gorgeous this plate is I absolutely love the feathers.  I really want to go to Rio sometime see all the tropical birds, drink all the tropical drinks, get myself a personal cabana boy.  You know just typical vacation stuff ;)

How freaking cute is this plate! Really don't hold back isn't it adorbs.  MoYou needs to shrink down the windmills so that I can create a version that fits fully on one nail or two!  Love the clogs and the girl in the traditional dress.  However I'm somewhat disturbed by the cheese.  Lol I didn't realize that was a thing.  I was expecting pot what you know exactly what I mean.  Honestly with the way the US is legalizing the stuff Amsterdam may find itself loosing some tourist dollars.

I know what you are asking yourself here.  Is that a sausage?  The answer is yes, but it resides next to what looks light an extremely welcoming mug of ale.  Yes! Lol so strange so strange.  Are pretzels a think in Germany?  I'm going to ask my friend Simone because it seems weird right?  Still the buildings and outfits here are fabulous!

That hand reminds me of one of the worst movies I have ever seen - Point Blank starring Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze.  Surfing bankrobbers like wtf? Oy what a freaking disaster oh well it was the 90's and I guess that was cool?  Meh that aside scope the tribal print and mask + starfish.  Yay loves it.  The waves remind me of a Loja BBF plate I have.  I wish there were a few more tribal influences on this plate but I love it regardless.

So here we are another week another 4 plates to add to your want list.  You've seriously considered selling off organs now haven't you? The only reason I won't is because I know a few things about the sequalae of that plus I'm saving my kidneys and liver for my scotch phase when I'm in my sexy 40's ;) To all my new followers and old alike in case you didn't use it I have a code from MoYou London.  Use "Tamira10" to get 10% off your next purchase.  As usual plates will be up today on the MoYou London site and retail for 4.99 Euro.  Happy stamping and see you next post..

Hot Off The Stamping Press: New Tourist Plates from MoYou London

Hey lovely lacquer ladies,

I've got a quick post here with more stamping plates releasing from the MoYou London Tourist Collection!  Honestly this is probably the collection that I favor the least of all the plates.  I really love ones I have but there are several in the lasts few releases that are Back To The 20's, 30's and so on that I just didn't like.  The main reason being that they were sort of outfits you could stamp onto your nails in the XL size of plates and each of the outfit images on the XL plates are massive.  I have some fairly long and wide nail bases and I would be hard pressed to make these images fit.  They released around 5 or so plates of that variety that I passed on.  That's why I'm pretty pleasantly surprised to see these new tourist plates.

Instead of offering the mega-sized outfit images that will not fit a regular nail bed these two plates feature images that I'm more interested in with designs closer to those that drew me to the MoYou company in the first place.  These are based more around the recent Explorer Collection themed plates featuring imagery revolving around Australia and Spain.

I do think it's a bit odd though to have recently released the Explorer collection and then put similar imagery on the Tourist Collection.  However what's kind of cool about this set of plates is that there is really no geogrpahical area that can't be covered from such a broad vantage point.  Though I guess the same could be said for the Explorer Collection "shrugs".  In any event the images from either collection do not overlap at all despite the similar themes.

This plate for me is a little wack-a-doo.  Lol I'm not trying to be mean or funny, but look how insane the eyes on both of the faces are.  Lololol.  I do have to admit though that I love the matador, psalms, and floral motifs.   So what do you think? I'm  definitely not as impressed as I was by last week's release but I'm glad to see the potential of the Tourist Collection heading back into the direction I initially loved.   These plates will release on Friday as presale and ship out on the 1st week of December.  As usual they retail for 4.99 Euro and can be found at the link above.  Thanks so much for reading and see you next post!
