Business as usual in these parts + nail arting like an addict since I have a bit more free time these days.  Today I wanted to point out plates by one of my favorite platemakers are now available for preorder - Fab Ur Nails aka FUN plates!  Joanne hasn't released a set of plates in quite a while so I was excited to see what was in store with this latest set.  Also because she is a talented nail artist in her own right we get to see what new designs she has come up with using her plates!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!  I've been trying to get my house in order this whole weekend so I could actually see my desk and couch.  Lol I am not what one would call a strong housekeeper lol.  In any case I just wanted to share some new plates that will be releasing soon from Fab Ur Nails.  You all know I love this company and I always want to see what Johanne has come up with because generally her plates are a great mix of cute and novel that I enjoy.  Plus her own nail art is spectacular so good I get nail envy looking at her creations lol.  So of course I always want all her plates ;)

Fab Ur Nails Spring Quatrefoil Nail Art (Alcohol Ink Method)

Finally freaking finally I'm starting to get a stronger grasp on this whole alcohol ink (EtoH ink) jazz. Its been a struggle, but because I have struggled I'm preparing an epic style video tutorial and post to help you guys from having the same frustrating problems I did.  In any event today I was able to get this going with a lot more ease that I had the last few attempts. Wait ease is the wrong word more like at the end I was able to figure out what the hell I was doing enough that the last 2 nails were less of a challenge to produce.  Essentially the entire premise of this nail art was based on a blog post I saw for paper crafting using alcohol inks.  The stamp the blogger used looked exactly like the quatrefoil pattern that's on one of my newer FUN plates and from there the rest was history....

I was just talking to my actual bestie Johanne the owner of FabUrNails and I told her oh my god I'm so sick of hearts and pink and love.  I said it just like that and went on to say I'm protesting over all this crap and if I see one more heart or flower on my Intagram feed I'm going to explode.  Of course she just laughed at which point I said no I'm serious in fact I'm wearing some serious dark hearts and blacked soul nail art.  Lol and hence our bestie twin nails were born....

Fab Ur Nails Abstract Doodles Nail Art & Tutorial

Yo from the land of too much snow,

Lol that sounded cuter in my head as things often do ;)  Today I created what really amounted to a super quick and bright colored abstract nail art to cheer my sorry self up.  I hate when you look outside and everything is grey as though the sun never existed in your hemisphere.  Don't get me wrong winter is made for scarves and extra hot lattes and warm snuggly blankets and I love all that, but I just wish I could see a bit of sun peeking through the skies kwim?  I don't know how you ladies in London and New Zealand do it!  I lived in both of those places and the rain and grey skies nearly drove me mad!  In any case I created this to create some cheer around the place so let's take a look...

Elevation Polish Journey Through Music Collection Swatches and Nail Art

Welcome back!  I have a lot of exciting posts coming up but today I'm the most excited to share the newest collection from Elevation Polish which will be releasing this January.  I know some of you are wondering where the hell have your EP posts gone Tamira?  In fact they haven't gone anywhere I have the October and November collections up on Instagram which I will be importing over here along with some nail art.  It was just easier while I was traveling like mad.  December's collection I don't have because of mail snafu.  So hopefully that explains where things have been.  Now today I am so freaking giddy because Lulu really decided to take 2015 by storm!  There is so much holo, blue, blue (yes I repeated it twice), shimmer, and duochrome happening here I nearly died of nailgasm.  But let me stop hyping and just show you the goods ;)  Let me just warn in advance this post will be pic heavy! I believe I told you tis the season to review! Lol actually it's not that it's the season to review it's that I finally have time to sit down and review all these plates after what feels like eons being away from my home base.  Today I have the latest release of stamping plates from Johanne of Fab Ur Nails i.e. FUN 13, 14, and 15 for your reviewing pleasure.  I've never reviewed this brand of plates before and its for a few reasons.  One I have purchased every single plate ever released by Fab Ur Nails over the years so it felt strange to suddenly review them and two the plates always have been absolutely flawless from etching to design.  Has anything changed? I'll let you be the judge.  As usual the review will be sectioned into different components relating to swatches, image size, etc so if you want to scroll through feel free.  Please leave comments, questions, and feedback I cannot emphasize this enough it's actually a huge help for me as a blogger! Get your drool catchers ready cause these new plates are gonna blow your mind! Let's face it I think by now we know of my addict like behavior and addition to stamping plates.  It's kind of the most demented and yet awesome problem to have EVER.  I mean I love stamping, but more than that I love finding and supporting brands that make me swoon!  I like it even more when the creators of these brands have more talent and experience at the craft than you can shake a stick at.  Of course I am referring to Johanne of FabUrNails. Have you seen her Facebook or Instagram account? If not I highly suggest you go check her out! She is unbelievably talented and posts tutorials all the time! So how could she possibly be more awesome? Oh wait she makes stamping plates that cause me major heart palpitations....

Ok here is a prime example of why Fun plates are a worthwhile investment and also novel plates to have in your collection.

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Matte Swatches and Nail Art

Today I have a review for your all of a few selections from the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Matte Collection! These polishes like all of the Insta-Dri Collection rock for several reasons and are much beloved on this blog for these reasons.  One they are essentially one coat wonders and I think I've gushed enough to the heavens and back that you know how much I appreciate that. Two they are fast drying which means I can stamp essentially within 5 minutes of placing the polish down.  And finally three, they are a match made in heaven when it comes to being used as stamping polishes themselves. So of course it is with extreme pleasure that I'm get to share these polishes with you today!
