MoYou London 31 Day Challenge: Day 20 Cute

Hey lacqueristas,

I have been feeling ill over the weekend unfortunately so I didn't really have time to sit down and extensively edit my photos or videos for any new posts.  Bummer.  On the other hand I kind of recalled I never finished posting my nail art for the 31 day challenge I did for MoYou London all the way back in May! At last post I was on Day 19 and the space theme.  So since I was feeling under the weather and I have the photos ready I thought I should go ahead and keep posting these despite finishing these months ago.  The theme of Day 20 was Cute.

Mani-louge
Basecoat/Topcoat
Base color: American Apparel Coney Island topped with Girly Bits Hocus Pocus
Stamping polish: Mundo de Unas #1 (Black) and Konad Special Polish in Red
Stamping plates:MoYou London Tourist 07

I think around the time I did this challenge I really just wanted to create something simple.  For whatever reason I feel the cutest nail art I create is always the simplest and easiest to replicate.  It had to be pink and it kawaii.  I also wanted sparkle and that's why I chose to top Coney Island with Hocus Pocus. I liked this mani a lot but I felt like maybe I could have stepped it up a bit more.  I do know around day 20 I was dying to finish.  Lol back to back days of nail art like this are extremely fatiguing and challenging especially when you are trying to create something to "win".

One thing I will mention is that I am so glad I decided to participate in this contest.  I didn't win the main prize, but did receive a smaller runner up prize for completing all 31 days.  However, what I really took away from this contest were skills that I hadn't acquired before.  I got a lot better at hand placement and photo editing.  You can really see this even now 3 months after doing the contest my photos are a lot better right? These things come with time, but when you are forced to create and photograph nail art on a daily basis your skills will quickly accumulate.  Now if only I could get a better camera! Lol slowly slowly right? I hope everyone had a good weekend and thanks for reading! I will see you next post!
