Glitter Leadlight Rainbow Abstract feat Pet'la Nail Art Stamping Plates

Hey lacquer ladies,

Happy Thanksgiving! It's been waaaaayyyy too long since I actually posted any nail art.  Crazily because my computer went down it took several of my folders of nail art, reviews, etc down with it. Sigh I am slowly getting things going again and today's post is half testing the waters with my borrowed back up computer and half me going crazy from not posting nail art.  So today's post was actually in response to a question I saw posed on one of my nail art groups asking if you could stamp over glitter leadlight based nails which in themselves are are form of nail art. It happens the original poster was a good friend Lizzy K Thank you for the inspiration darling!  Of course I thought absolutely yes! Simply put if there is a base down regardless of what it is you can stamp over it.  So here's what I came up with.

Mani-louge
Basecoat/Topcoat: Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter A-Peel / Sally Hansen Diamond Flash
Base Glitter: Nails Inc Electric Avenue
Leadlight Polish: OPI Sheer Tints in I'm Never Ambarassed (yellow), Don't Violet Me Down (purple), and I Can Teal You Like Me (blue), and  Hot Pink (my own homemade leadlight polish).
Stamping polish: Mundo de Unas Black (#1)
Stamping Plate: Pet'la Plate Oorie

So I pretty much made this up as I went along.  I've seen several ladies on various blogs, intagram etc use sheer polishes over glitter to create these patchwork manis so I did the same just dotting polish randomly to build a glittering but colorful base.

Once I let it dry I just added a topcoat to seal and smooth out the colors and also provide a good surface for stamping and the rest as they say is history.  Came out pretty cool right? And because I love you I did a quick tutorial, yes I am back to doing those more occasionally, that moved through the steps.

What do you guys think?  I love how this turned out and honestly it was so much more sparkly and eye catching IRL.  My hand was like a glittering jewel.  I can't even remember who asked this question but I have to thank them for the inspiration.  PS the Pet'la Plate which I had reviewed previously stamped like a dream here.  If you like the pattern you can find that plate here. Finally, I have also put the quick tutorial I did below.  If you would like to see more formal tutorials from me like I did back in the day let me know and I can reedit it.

That said thanks for reading and I'll see you next post...
